01Who operates Spider?
Spider is operated by Avnids. Questions about the service and personal data can be addressed to Avnids through the Spider Discord community. Each server’s administrators choose which modules to enable and which members of their team receive access to the resulting records.
02Hosting and sign-in security
Spider’s service and data are hosted with Hetzner in Finland. Server settings and module records are stored in the service’s database. OAuth credentials are encrypted in a dedicated session table and are excluded from guild exports and API responses. This encryption concerns sign-in credentials; it does not mean that every stored record is encrypted in the same way.
03Access by your server’s team
Spider checks the permissions assigned to groups and the applicable Discord permissions and role hierarchy for protected actions. Access to cases, notes, tickets and exports depends on the permissions for that feature. Authorised operators also need access to administer the service and handle support or data requests. Hiding a report’s author in the staff interface does not remove that information from storage or an authorised export.
04Cookies and preferences
The sign-in cookie keeps your authenticated session active. A separate preference cookie remembers the language you select for up to one year. English is the default when no language is selected. Signing out revokes the current session. These settings are separate from the language chosen by a Discord server’s administrators.
05Connected services
Discord provides authentication, server information and the platform where bot actions and published messages appear. If the optional assistant is used, Groq also processes the requests and context sent to its API. Information published in Discord channels follows those channels’ access settings. Deleting a Spider record does not automatically delete an already published Discord message or a previously downloaded export.
