The Spider Activity lands in Discord

Spider now has its own Discord Activity: an app that opens right inside a channel, a conversation or a voice channel, with nothing to install. You can see what Spider protects and, above all, play.

How to open it

• Type /spider in any channel where Spider is.
• Or click Launch on Spider’s profile, in DMs too.
• In a voice channel, everyone can join to play together.

Nine mini-games about safety

Each game is built on a real moderation reflex, so you learn while you play:

• Rampart: place defences and stop the robots before the server, in 5 levels with stars or endless.
• Safe link?: keep or delete each link, with the explanation when you get it wrong.
• Mod for a day: a message, its context, and the right sanction to pick.
• Raid rush: ban the fake accounts before they get in, without touching real members.
• Safety quiz, Net, Type, Memory and Community complete the list.

A world leaderboard

Every player from every server shares one leaderboard, with the server tag shown on their profile. A second leaderboard compares servers, based on their five best players.

Every day, every week, every month

• Daily challenge: one game, its own leaderboard reset at midnight, and a streak to keep.
• Weekly tournament: every Monday, the podium is announced on the Spider server and gets the Mini-games champion role and a profile badge.
• Seasons: climb from Thread to Legend during the month, reset on the 1st.

It all runs on its own: nobody needs to start the challenge, count points or hand out roles.

Together, or against Spidy

In a voice channel, open the Activity together for a duel: same game, same time, a podium at the end and a rematch in one click. On your own, you can also challenge Spidy on Easy, Normal or Expert.

Spidy dresses up, your card gets shared

As you play, you unlock outfits for Spidy (helmet, scarf, shades, headband, crown) and achievements, two of them hidden. Your player card sums up your records and rank: share it as an image in any channel.

We wanted server members to learn to spot a scam without noticing. The simplest way was to make it a game.

The Activity is free and available on every server that uses Spider. Open it with /spider and try to climb the leaderboard.
