Watchlist, night mode, network alerts: Spider keeps watch even while you sleep
Four new protections to keep an eye on risky members, tighten the server at night, benefit from other Spider servers’ bans and block dangerous permissions.
Most incidents happen when nobody is looking: a dubious account biding its time, a wave of scams at 3 am, a moderator whose account gets stolen. This update adds four protections built for those moments. You will find them in the menu, under Moderation and Protection.
Watchlist: an eye on a member, without thinking about it
Add a member with a reason (“new account posting links”, for example), from Moderation › Watchlist or the Watch button on their profile. Their card gathers everything that happened since: deleted messages, cases, username and nickname changes.
Turn on live alerts and your team is warned in a staff channel as soon as the member writes, changes name or joins a voice channel. Each alert recalls why they are watched and offers a File button. To avoid noise, message and voice alerts are limited to one every 10 minutes per member.

Choose your hours (midnight to 8 am by default), your timezone and the nights it applies to. During the night, Spider can:
- put slowmode on the chosen channels;
- block links, images and files from new members, where most scams get through;
- remove invites to other servers;
- pause joins until the morning;
- make anti-raid twice as sensitive.
In the morning, everything goes back exactly as it was, slowmode included. Staff is never affected, and buttons let you start the night now, skip a night or end it.
Network alerts: other servers’ bans protect you
Servers that opt in share their scam and raid bans. When an account banned elsewhere joins your server, your team gets an alert with the number of servers, the reasons and a trust score: an established server counts as 1, a brand-new, tiny or mass-reporting server counts less. The originating servers are never shown, and Spider never sanctions anyone automatically.
Sensitive permissions: one alert, one click to undo
As soon as a role receives Administrator, Ban, Manage roles or another dangerous permission, a member gets a role that grants it, or a bot joins with those rights, your team is warned. The alert offers to remove the permissions, remove the role or kick the bot, and can undo itself if nobody approves it in time.

- Every direct message sent on behalf of your server (case, appeal, application, giveaway…) ends with a line saying which server it comes from, so no member mistakes it for a message from Spider itself.
- Nickname rules become an auto-moderation rule, Misleading names, alongside the others.
