Step by step

  1. In Community → Discord Activities, enable onboarding.

  2. Write the title, introduction and completion message. Choose a panel channel if you want a dedicated entry point.

  3. Create choice groups with a title, description, options, roles and selection limits.

  4. Add discovery channels with titles and explanations suitable for newcomers.

  5. Save, publish and test the full flow after a successful verification.

Build the flow

  • Up to five choice groups and twelve options per group; check minimum and maximum selection counts.
  • Selection limits must be consistent with the number of group options.
  • Up to eight discovery channels can guide members after their selections.

Roles and flow changes

Selected roles remain subject to the bot’s permissions and hierarchy. After significant changes, check a fresh flow and a member who started an earlier version. Interest choices should not grant staff permissions.

Practical example

Interests group: Gaming, Creation, Help. Each option assigns a notification role. Finishing the flow suggests the introduction channel and rules.
