Before you begin

Use custom-commands.manage and Manage Server. Commands can use a simple reply or an authorised action; naming a command does not replace action permissions.

Step by step

  1. Create a command with a 1–32 character name using lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores.

  2. Add its description and optional English name and description.

  3. Define parameters: text, member, role, channel, integer, number or boolean. Set required parameters and their limits.

  4. Compose the reply in the editor. Insert {argument:nom} to use a parameter and choose a private, public or channel reply.

  5. Set allowed roles, members and channels, exceptions and cooldowns. Save and publish the command version.

Parameters and variables

An absent optional parameter produces empty text when inserted. The name in {argument:nom} matches the configured French parameter name. Predefined choices and numeric bounds help guide input.

Actions and publishing

A moderation action attached to a command keeps permission, target and hierarchy checks. Saving a draft and publishing to Discord are separate. Check publication status and errors if a command does not appear immediately.

Practical example

Command: /information Text parameter: sujet Reply: You are looking for information about {argument:sujet}. Visit our support centre.
