Before you begin
Use nicknames.manage for settings; Spider must be able to manage the affected members’ nicknames.
Step by step
Open Rules and sanctions → Nicknames and add a rule.
Configure words or expressions, character cleanup and the replacement name using the available options.
Set target groups and exclusions, then use the preview to check several examples.
Save and enable the module. Review new corrections in the journal.
Server nickname and Discord identity
Spider acts on the server nickname. It does not change a Discord account’s username, biography or avatar.
Why a name may remain unchanged
An exclusion may apply, the member may be above the bot’s role, or the event may not match the rule. Test matching before broadening the criteria.
