Step by step

  1. Open Community → Server support and create a rule.

  2. Select roles and add up to 20 texts. Choose Contains, Word or Exact matching.

  3. Choose whether any or all texts are required. Configure invites: disabled, for this server, or created by the member.

  4. Combine criteria, set exceptions and removal delay, then enable and save.

  5. Test with the status present and removed. Review presence and invite diagnostics when the result is uncertain.

Status, not biography

The rule reads the custom status received by Spider. The Discord profile biography is not a criterion. An offline member or unavailable presence may prevent an immediate conclusion.

Verified invitations

An invite must be recognised as belonging to the server. Personal invite mode also checks its creator when available. Expired, inaccessible or unknown invites are not treated as certain matches.

Removing roles

The removal delay applies when criteria stop matching. Previously held roles and roles still justified by another rule must be accounted for. Distinguish a genuinely empty status from unknown presence when expecting removal.

Practical example

Create a rule with the text spiderbot.fr and an invite to your server. With All, members must display both criteria; with Any, either is enough.
