Before you begin

The members.view permission allows viewing profiles. Each action has its own Spider permission and Discord checks.

Step by step

  1. In Members, enter at least two characters or paste a Discord ID.

  2. Open a result and review dates, roles and cases. A banned account can be searched by ID.

  3. Select an action or More actions. To apply a rule or template, use the Rules and follow-up section.

  4. Enter a reason and parameters, confirm and review the newly created case.

Available actions

Actions include warnings, internal notes, timeouts and timeout removal, kicks, bans and unbans, nicknames, role changes and voice moderation. Disabled actions can indicate missing permissions, a protected target or an incompatible member state.

Hierarchy and protected accounts

Spider checks both the actor’s and the bot’s hierarchy. The server owner and self-targeted actions are protected. Moving the bot above a role does not automatically give a moderator authority over that role.

Questions and solutions

The member cannot be found by name

Search using their Discord ID. Name changes or uncached accounts can make names less reliable. Also check that you selected the correct server.
